Currently, the Homeownership Program is closed, and the VCTT is not accepting any applications for this program.
The Housing Authority's Homeownership Program enables an applicant to buy and build a new home in the RoseHill neighborhood. The Homeownership Program is a second-mortgage program where eligible applicants obtain a first mortgage to purchase a home based on their family income. Funds from the grant provide a second mortgage for the difference between the first mortgage and the construction price. The second mortgage is not required to be repaid until the sale of the home prior to a 10-year residency.
VCTT launched its Homeownership Program in July 2008. The goal of the Homeownership program is to increase homeownership opportunities for low-income and moderate-income residents who wish to move to Bowie County through the use of federal, state, or local funding.
