New Website Launches for Affordable Housing Agency

TEXARKANA, Texas - Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas (formerly The Housing Authority of the City of Texarkana, Texas or HATT) recently launched a new website for the agency www.VCofTT.org. The new website is one component of the strategic initiative to rebrand the affordable housing agency.

The new website design features the Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas (VCTT) brand (logo, icon, and colors) to promote a consistent image for the agency.

Serving as a 24/7 communications and information tool for VCTT, features and functions of the new site include:

• A streamlined responsive site design to improve information access and navigation
• A Calendar of Events feed to the home page for improved delivery of information
• An enhanced News Module with multiple entries posting to the home page
• Updated links to E-newsletter, News Archives, Calendar, and Customer Service Survey for convenient access from any page

"The new Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas website continues the HATT's tradition of representing the agency's commitment to community and housing. Our goal with the new site is to improve delivery of information for our stakeholders while building awareness for the Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas brand," states Antonio D. Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the agency.

As with the previous website, affordable housing clients, landlords, and the public may sign up to receive news and announcements from the agency via text messaging or email notifications. Stakeholders may also connect with the agency via social media from links on the website.

The responsive website auto-adjusts to deliver an optimal user experience across device types including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

The new website design addresses current ADA accessibility success criteria. The site includes programming for screen readers and keyboard commands for assisted access to site content.

The new VCTT website was produced by creative agency, Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc., an award-winning firm serving affordable housing agencies nationwide. Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas is a public housing agency providing decent, safe, affordable housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
